On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, SOLIDARNA launched creative project "Ellie on the Road", dedicated to Eleanor Roosevelt, the "First Lady of the World" who, as the President of the first United Nations Human Rights Committee, was crucial for its adoption on December 10, 1948.
The project consists of a thematic photo contest for young people from which a digital photo book will be created (in the form of a thematic website) and a traveling photo exhibition with accompanying cultural program in a number of interested cities and municipalities, focusing on those environments which face developmental problems.
The photo contest, drafted in collaboration with a group of young people from Gunja, Sisak and Zagreb, is opened from 29 October to 12 November 2018, and children and young people can participate with their own photographs with a theme of one or more the fundamental notions of the Universal Declaration selected by the group of young people who have drafted the competition. These are: HOME, SAFETY, PRIVACY, EDUCATION, WORK, SOLIDARITY, RESPONSIBILITY, CULTURE AND CREATIVITY, LIFE, EQUALITY, DIGNITY AND FREEDOM. From the received photographs, professional photographic jury will select the best from which the traveling exhibition will be created which we interactively want to show to as many young people throughout the Republic of Croatia as we can. The exhibition will be presented in Daruvar, Gunja, Krnjak, Sisak and Zagreb during November and December of 2018 and it can continue its path in January and February next year.
For three best
photographs we have ensured valuable awards. More on: ellie.solidarna.hr
